WHAT:

Veritiv Corporation will donate 31,000 rolls of new toilet paper to Love Rolls, Inc., an Atlanta-based charity dedicated to providing toilet paper to the homeless community. The donation coincides with the annual commemoration of National Toilet Paper Day, which occurs on Sunday, August 26.

WHO:

As one of the largest business-to-business distributors of facilities solutions in North America, Veritiv sells almost half a billion rolls of toilet paper each year, including the Reliable Brand® line of products. Love Rolls was founded in 2015 by Atlanta-native Kendall Robinson, who recently began her first year at Howard University and has a goal to deliver more than a million rolls of toilet paper. Last year, Veritiv donated 25,000 rolls to Love Rolls to aid those who are experiencing homelessness or have been impacted by a natural disaster.

WHY:

Many homeless people in the United States experience limited access to adequate sanitation provided by toilets, showers and hand washing facilities. As part of National Toilet Paper Day, Veritiv and Love Rolls want to direct more attention to this issue. Georgia has about 14,000 homeless people; more than 6,000 are in Atlanta. To date, Love Rolls has distributed more than 170,000 rolls with commitments of more than 250,000 rolls.
